We’ve seen red squirrels, it was a first, how beautiful an experience it was. Sandbed is an amazing place to stay, no fireworks to be heard. Very
comfortable all round. Brilliant walks, even though a bit wet, dogs loved the long walks. The waterfalls and the array of colours with the foliage

What a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and watching the birds and the red squirrel has been a highlight. Lovely walks - Cautley Spout + the Calf, Nine Standards Rigg, Wild Boar fell and the viaducts walk. Farfield Mill in Sedbergh and the town itself definitely worth a visit as is the chocolate factory in Orton.

Had a lovely week’s holiday in this cosy cottage. The weather was much better than anticipated. Walked up Wild Boar fell to the cairns at the top, the views were amazing and was so peaceful. Loved watching the birds on the feeder, we saw Great Tits, Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Nuthatches, and the Woodpeckers. Was a real treat to see the red squirrel. (Oh forgot the Finches too). Thank you for a great week in such a lovely cottage.

We have had a great week; your cottage has been perfect. The amount of wildlife we have seen and heard has added to the enjoyment of the cottage. This has been a great location for visiting White Scar caves, Windermere car museum to name a few.

What to do at Sandbed when the rain doesn’t stop? The waterfalls & colours at Uldale beck are worth a look, the back of Wandle hill not so much! But always the cosy fire and peace of the cottage to return to, perhaps a glimpse or the not so elusive red squirrel.

Fell in love with this area. Will visit again. The cottage was warm, cosy & very clean. Loved the birds and the red squirrel. Despite the mixed weather, the fells, waterfalls and walks made this a holiday to treasure on our golden wedding.
